Have I mentioned lately that I just love my friends. I have to say I have some of the best. What makes a good friend you ask. Hmmmmmmm let's see - Mostly the fact that they let me post the below pictures. - Really now that I think about it - after this post I may not have any friends anymore. (Really I love you all)

I love pictures - that is obvious by now I think. But more than anything I love pictures that make me smile and more importantly make me laugh - I am talking laugh until I cry. There is nothing better I must say. Anyway - my phone takes horrid pictures. (I will have to consider this fact when I get a new one) But I still love the laugh behind them and the fact that when each of my friends call - these wonderful pictures pop up and I get a good laugh each and every day. So please excuse the quality of these pics, but enjoy a good laugh and the fact that my friends are such troopers (I did get permission I promise). Oh and sorry there is just a couple but my phone was stolen a couple of months ago so I lost some of the best ones -

(a little explanation - my friend Pennie sent this to me today, after a long conversation on the phone about how stressed both of our lives have been - when she told me that she looks like Angelina Jolie right now because she has been so stressed that she has canker sores popping up all inside her mouth. And the best part is she said she didn't even realize they had gotten that big until her hubby came in and asked her why her lips were so big. She said - really you have to see them and sent me this picture - I texted her back and told her I was cracking up and could I post the pic on my blog - and she said of course - she was going to put it on hers to - good friend - good friends)

...it's cold outside, and well truthfully, cause it is just what I do! I have to say Jacey asked me though "Mom, why are you taking more pictures of us?" I don't know Jac. just because I guess. "Well mom, you seem to do that a lot - what do you do with all these "Just because" pictures anyway?" Hmmmmmm - good question Jac.

I just have to say that they will never have to search very hard to find old pictures of them self when they grow up like I do and that in itself I think is a good "why".

Jaden has been so blessed with an amazing memory - really I can't get anything past this child, she remembers everything. Anyway - when she was three she memorized the Christmas story by listening to it on her cd player at night while she slept. We couldn't believe it when she was able to recite it within weeks of listening to it at night. Well ever since then she has had the privilege of blessing others with this at school Christmas programs and at our Christmas Eve service. (She now refers to this story as HER story) - yes jaden - it is all of our stories (this is where our freedom all began) - I video taped her this year (sorry for the bright light on her face - but I was to the side of her and the spot light was glaring at the front of her - kinda like a heavenly light wouldn't you say LOL!) Anyway - I hope you enjoy. p.s. I video taped Jacey doing her solo for her Christmas program this year to - then my video camera broke and I had to buy a new one and now I can't seem to get the old video on the computer - so I will have to have her do a little replay for all of you in the next couple of days - she did great.

So the company Mike works for does the tile in all of the Extreme Makeover Home addition houses, so we got to go take a sneak peak of a house they were doing in Keller this last week - fun except for the fact that the killer cold front came through about five min. before we got there. Oh well - cool just the same. The house was neat and what an amazing thing this show does to help out families. And hey - who doesn't like to see their hubby in an orange hard hat - LOL!

That is the word that came to mind after my 1st set of pics on Sunday. I got the chance - no the privilege to take pics of an amazing family. The last time I took their pics their youngest was just two months old - so it was fun to see how big he had gotten.

My weekend that is! - Wow - so if you have been trying to get a hold of me and couldn't it is probably because of my great weekend - ha! My camera bag was stolen on sat. during a shoot and my cell phone was in it - along with camera lenses, memory cards, flashes, etc. etc. Long story short - today is the first day I have a phone again and replacing camera equipments stinks. It gets better to - on sunday I was taking my second set of pictures of the day and my shutter breaks on my camera (thankfully my super tabberry (her new name) was with me and happened to have her camera in the car so I didn't have to tell this poor family I couldn't take their pics. - AHHHHHH. Thankfully I have a back-up camera but I am not looking forward to getting the bill on the repair of my other one after the whole bag thing from sat. - I know there is a reason for everything - sometimes it is just hard for me to see it.

and since it is not in my nature to post a blog without a picture - here is a couple of Jaden from yesterday...

I just can't say no to. There is a reason God gave my girls blue eyes. There is just something about those big browns I can't resist. I have had a lot of blue eyed kids lately so it was very fun to see this little sweety get out of his car the other day. And how fun was his personality too. On our Land? Moving Dirt? Preparing to build a house? I can't believe it! Most of you know our story and for those of you who don't - wow - this has been a long time coming. After having our house on the market for two years - we are finally getting to start the next chapter of our lives. God has been so good and so faithful and we are already seeing His hand all over this, just as we have for the last three years since we bought this land (it is just not always easy to be patient and wait on His timing) - can't wait to share the many stories before us and behind us - but for now - move forward tractor man - move forward!

So the girls are on fall break this week and I have been so busy that I decided to take them out yesterday for a little bit of fun - they said they wanted to go to a pumpkin patch, but not to the one we always go to so I took them to a different one for the first time - that may be my new tradition - to take them to a different pumpkin patch every year - They had a blast - even if they did get me lost in the corn maze for an hour (really)!

Of course I can't pass up pics at any pumpkin patch - so we took some at this one too. And this is what the little stinkers give me...

So every year since Jacey was born I have taken my girls to the pumpkin patch on Oct. 1st - it started out being because I wanted to go on the first day it was open so the pumpkins would still look perfect for pictures but it turned into a very fun tradition for us. So today I took the girls out of school and we made our way to the patch. Got some great pictures and had a blast as well - sorry there is so many - but the girls just did great today.

so, how bad is it that I take pictures of my daughter breaking the rules...

of course those of you who know Jacey know that if there is an animal around she is going to pet it - sign or no sign...

I always love taking pictures of this family - It was just the youngest of the three today but we still had lots of fun. Crazy Hair Day!

So, yesterday was crazy hair day at my girls school. Man did we have fun with this one. Those of you who know me - know that I am a little bit into my girls hair and clothes - I just have fun with it that's all. Well since they have started going to A private school my creativity has been a little stifled. Don't get me wrong I have to say I enjoy the uniform thing - it makes my mornings soooo much easier. But I have been a little stifled. So when crazy hair days comes to the Lewy household we go all out. - Plus the girls just loved it! (p.s. the ponyhawk was daddy's idea - he must have been stifled as well :)

Seriously this child cracks me up - how do you get this sassy at 5yrs. old?

And today was Spirit Day - for those of you who don't know, my hubby is from Philly and is just a little bit of an eagles fan (yeah we clash on this one for sure) - me being the die hard Cowboys fan that I am. Anyway - I think when we were praying about where to send our girls to school - he must have been praying a little harder because their colors are green, white and gold and their mascot is none other than the dreaded EAGLE. Anyway - it makes him happy and that is what's most important right? AHHHHHHHHH - GO COWBOYS!

And to add a little more to our families Eagle/Cowboy clash - here is a few pics from our latest fun trip to Tx. Stadium - I brought my tabberry with me to click a few of us - half in Eagles, Half in Cowboys (I must say though that Jacey was a little sad to have to wear her eagles jersey to the stadium - because she was afraid to be made fun of) I keep telling mike that she is going to have to go to therapy one day for making her wear that thing - just kidding - I am sure it is good for her character.

This was my motto - I see how hard those assistants work and truthfully I would rather be behind the lense! Well I got to try out this crazy assistant job the other day with my wonderful Tabberry behind the lense - Man she works hard. I have to say that I think by the end I was not only in a full sweat but darn ready for a nap as well and this was only one 7mth old. I think back to times when she has helped me with a family of four with two huge dogs and now feel as if I need to kiss her feet. Wow - what a job - truthfully, I loved it and loved seeing tab do so well behind the lense - But man was I pooped!

Not really - she was such a trooper! - I can't believe we drug Abb's out for these pics knowing what I know now about how sick she was last week, but I have to say she hung in there and nobody would ever know from looking at these pictures that she was so sick - that is what I call a true model! - You rock girl - oh yeah and the rest of you are pretty great to! O.k. so this time of year is a hard time for me to blog.

Not only because I am running crazy but also because the majority of my work right now is Christmas pictures and I do truly hate to ruin any ones surprise by sharing the pictures they may be putting in their Christmas card.

So I figured I would just give a little glimpse of my sessions from here to the end of the year - that way you - my wonderful blog readers will have a clue of what I have been up to and my wonderful clients will still have their element of surprise when they send out their cards.

So, for this first session I am posting - What a fun family - always make me laugh and the little ones always make me sweat - but hey - The Lord knows a little sweat is good for me - and also is almost always worth it.

First of all let me start by apologizing for the amount of pictures I am going to put on this post. But there is just no way to take five of the cutest, sassiest, most fun girls out for a photo shoot for one of the best store's ever (Sassy's) and not love them all.

I had so much fun with these - starting with the hair, the clothes, the ride over in a truck full of laughing, singing girls. I have to say there was not a dole moment that is for sure.

So many of you may not know that I have two boys. O.k. so I didn't birth them or even adopt them, but they are still my boys. They lived with us for a while with their parents and it was then that I mentally adopted them anyway. I think it was this face that made me fall in love at first...

I got to take B's (he's the youngest of the two) seven and a half (that's for you B) year pics the other day and I think the main thing we learned from this session is - the more fun you let them have - the better the pics!

We were thinking - o.k. what would show his personality at this age off the best - and this is what we came up with...

Of coarse afterwords we had a Stern talking with him to let him know this is the ONLY time he is aloud to jump on the bed and he grinned (what have we done LOL!)

Then we went out to the land were my hubby finally put up the tire swing I have been asking for for years (I love you honey). Anyway - we had fun with that too...

I mean I might as well say he is my son since in the future I will be his mother-n-law - arranged marriages are legal still right? - We have decided that my oldest would be the perfect match for him (you know compliment him and keep him a little under control) - look how cute they look together...

If ever there was a day that I need my vitamins - it was today. I got the pleasure of chasing a very quick one year old around in 100 degree heat to try to snap a couple good pics. I will say one thing - he was the happiest little thing. I would give anything to have even an ounce of his energy! Also did some pics of his older sister - she always has me cracking up - she is quite the little model. Well guys, we had fun - laughed together, ran around together, and sweat together - all for the love of pictures... (would do it again any day)

And we can't forget big sisters bestest friend that we always do pics with for their bday...

So my little one comes down stairs this morning all dressed except for her socks and shoes (it is chapel day at school today so they have to wear their dresses). Here is the conversation that awaits me...

Jaden: Mommy - you accidentally got me out some long socks.

Me: No Jaden, it wasn't an accident - those are the socks you wear with that dress.

Jaden: Well, they are not going to look cute with these shoes.

Me: Sure they will sweety, they will look very cute.

(as she is putting on her socks and shoes)
Jaden: See mommy, they don't look cute.

Me: Yes they do, they look very cute.

(In walks big sister - with the same outfit on as Jaden mind you)

It's Official (WAAAAHHHH!)

I now have a 3rd grader and a kindergartner. The girls started school today - I actually feel like I handled it pretty well. I set their alarms last night, laid their clothes out, and went to bed. This morning they woke up to their alarms, got dressed, made their beds, brushed their teeth and came down stairs with out a hitch. I was so impressed - a little sad that they didn't need my help - but impressed all the same. Of coarse when I got home and heard an alarm going off - I thought well maybe one of them didn't quite understand how to turn their alarm off all the way (now I'm thinking - maybe they do need me after all - I will give another alarm instruction tonight before bed) - went up stairs - no beeping - went down stairs - ooohhh - it was my oldest child (aka my hubby) that didn't quite figure out how to turn his alarm off correctly - It's officially happened - they have already out smarted us!

The first beam went up on the new school today as well - yeah!

O.k. I am such a bad mom. Towards the end of the school year last year, Jacey made a comment that she had to be moved to the front of the class because she couldn't see the board very well. Well at that point I put on my to do list to take her to the eye doctor and it just never happened. I finally took her a couple of weeks ago and yep - she's blind just like her parents. O.k. so not really blind yet but she does have to have glasses. Her doctor told her she doesn't have to wear them all the time at this point but she does need to at least wear them to school. So, here is the glasses she picked out and I have to say I don't really like how old they make her look - but at this point she loves them...

How many times do I say these words while taking pictures of my youngest?! Many, Many times... Just a small example...

The kind of pictures I was trying to get (inspired by my very own tabberry after seeing some pics she took of E)...

And then the pictures that deem the phrase "Please be Normal" (and the words that go along with them)

Jaden - "Look Mommy - I'm an Angel"

Me - "Jaden, please just be normal for a couple of pics"

Jaden - "Look mommy - I have a mustache (voice gets deeper here)"

Me - "Pllleeeeaaase sweety, just be normal for a couple."

Jaden - "Now I'm flossing my teeth."

Me - "AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

But seriously - if I really think about it - I am just asking for all this - I mean the whole time I am telling her to be normal and finally it dawns on me that this is HER "Normal". And really, I love that it is. My life would be so boring without a little "Normal" in it.

So - as most of you know my darling oldest child has been at camp all week. So, I send her off to camp with stationary and stamps to write long sweet letters to her dear old mom and even more importantly three (yes three) disposable cameras to take a wealth of meaningful pictures in my absence of this short week of her life.

Well, let's see - I finally received a letter on Friday from her that consist of this "I hope you are having fun because I am. Love, Jacey" - As you can imagine - it took me quite a while to read this huge letter - but I am told to be thankful that I received one at all because some of my friends with boys who have sent their kids to this same camp have not received even that. So I guess I should also be thankful that it was pretty obvious that she wrote this long letter in two days time as well because the first half was in pencil and the second half in pen. (truly I will treasure it and put it in her scrapbook for her to see years down the road when she calls me crying because her baby is at camp and has not written her).

Now onto the second thing I sent to camp with her - the oh so important cameras... We go to pick her up today and I say "Jac - did you take a bunch of pictures for mommy?" And she says "Well I think I may have taken about four pictures mommy - I kinda forgot." Yet another thing to scrapbook for her future phone calls home. And to add to the whole picture thing (I know the Lord is laughing so hard at me right now - that's what I get for naming my business All About Pictures instead of All About God.) But the camp has pictures online all week so we can check in and see how much fun our little cherubs are having away from home (well out of hundreds of pictures - Jac was in just two and her roomies were in about 20 - I truly think she may have been hiding from the camera (I know, having me for a mom - do you blame her?) And then every kid had their picture taken with their group and their counselor for the cd that was sent home and Jacey's group was the only one not on the cd for some reason. AHHHHHHH!

Seriously - I know none of this really matters - she had a blast - learned a lot about the Lord - Made new friends - and is now home safe - but I still just had to blog about it. So here is the few pics I got when I picked her up (I will have to blog the "about four" pictures that she took as well when I get them developed.)

Oh and by the way - the camp she went to is Pinecove (http://pinecove.com/) which is the best camp in the world!

I just love this family. I have watched these girls grow and have loved every min. of it - They always make me laugh and smile and I just love seeing them.

Well the girls got the sweetest gift about a month ago - a precious baby brother. After all that pink in the house they were blessed to add a little blue.

Have I mentioned that I am a little sad about my baby going to kindergarten. Seriously, every day she reminds me that I am just going to be lost without her here during the day. She truly is my total source of daily entertainment!

So, all that said - today (remember Jacey is away at camp - so she is soooooooo bored). so I am in the office working and I hear "Clump, Clump, Clump" - didn't think much of it just kept working - then again "Clump, Clump, Clump" - when finally at the top of the stairs I see this...

Jaden: "Hi Mommy"
Me: "Hi Jaden - whatcha doin?"
Jaden: "Don't you recognize me?"
Me: "Um, Yeah, your Jaden."
Jaden: "No mommy - I'm Miss Bigfoot!"

I will so miss Miss Bigfoot...

And now she is off to be somebody else...

Summer Camp Really?

You want to do what this summer Jac? For how long? A week? I don't know if mommy is ready for that yet honey.

So guess who won? Yep, just dropped her off today. I do have to say that I can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do in her life this week. She went to Pinecove - that being the reason I let her go. - I do have to say that it is the greatest Christian Camp on the planet.

Still she is my baby (o.k. don't tell her I said that). But she is - that being said - I will stop whining - just keep me in your prayers this week while she is gone.

She will have a blast! She will grow closer to God! She will make lifelong new friends! (I will be repeating this chant in my head for the next 6 days)

Seriously - usually when you hear - you have five kids coming for pictures at one time - you might go a little crazy - but not this time - these kids were awesome. They were so sweet and good and the time passed so quickly I was amazed.

There I go again - being amazed at things I know our God is so faithful to bring forth. In other words as I always say - If I pray for a shoot and the parents pray for a shoot -The odds of getting great pics is pretty good.

AHHHHH Newborns...

I just love them!

One thing I have learned about newborns though is that they are very unpredictable and you have to be patient - One thing I have also learned about God - is that He knows best (and these pictures were no exception).

Our vision for this sweety - a precious sleeping baby (cause surely at two weeks, she would sleep the whole time right?) - Wrong. Our reality - She was wide eyed and bushy tailed the whole shoot (don't get me wrong she was the best - let us do whatever we wanted to her - she just wasn't going to sleep). The couple we did get of her with her eyes closed was just because she was blinking. It was pretty funny sitting there waiting for her to blink.

But I have to say I love the one's were she is awake - because that is pretty rare at this age and we can already tell she is going to be all about her photo shoots (I mean really, who would want to sleep through that anyway) - I know I have a few parents saying "me! me!" - wake me when it's done. But truly baby E - you were a pleasure and thank you for letting us torture you for so long - you were a trooper.

And by the way - she did finally fall asleep right at the end - in a sweet pink tutu - see she just needed to be all girled up to relax fully!

Oh, and sorry for sharing so many - but I just couldn't choose...

Oh, and we can't forget her two sweet big sisters...

Growing that is - she has just got to stop. Does she realize what she is putting me through? Does she realize she is my last baby? Does she realize she is starting kindergarten in the fall and I can only handle one big growing pain a year? I don't think she does and if she does she sure is not stopping for me. We are on vacation in GA and I was in the middle of fixing her hair and she says look mom - I pulled it out. Yep - she didn't even let me be the one to get it out for her - she had to go and pull it out herself - WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! - O.k. somebody hand me over their baby so I can stop crying :)

Every year we go to GA for the fourth of July - the girls get to be in a parade and just love spending time with there cousins. The float they usually ride on is for My cousins husbands bank he works for, but this year their church was doing a fundraiser for Clean Water for Kenya - so they got to walk through the parade holding buckets selling water bottles and collecting money for an amazing cause...

The Rash?

What on earth is on your face. Well she woke up Thursday morning with a weird rash on her face. We had no idea what it could be - it was only on one cheek to start and we just figured she was having an allergic reaction to something so we just benadryled her up. As the days wore on the rash seemed to move it's way all the way around her face (remember this is during a holiday weekend and there is not a single doctor working) - it didn't seem to be bothering her but it just kept spreading - long story short - we ended up going to a doctor on Monday and after cream and then the rash popping up all over her body and finally an oral steroid - we found out she had poison ivy and it is now finally going away - whew - what a crazy couple of weeks...

Do you have anyone that makes you feel like your at home even when your not - A family that has been such a blessing in your life - you can't even describe it? A family you only see once a year, yet feel like you just saw them yesterday? This is that family for me. We were blessed to be able to spend a couple of nights with the Johnsons while we were in Ga before they headed to Texas and we headed to my cousins for three weeks. It wasn't enough time, yet we were so very blessed for the time we had. - Thanks guys for the room and board - and more importantly letting us come home for a little while...
